We run weekly debating sessions on Tuesdays 18:00-20:00 a GE133 (George Elliot) on two different topics. One will be serious and relevant to current-day affairs, whilst the other is more light-hearted.
Full of students of all ages, years and courses, we are a diverse, friendly and supportive group that encourages you to speak your mind, develop your public speaking skills and fight for what you care about. With a committee dedicated to making a society tailored to you, we accept any and all advice, criticism or suggestions. Speak your mind and we will listen, adapt and improve. You are our focus.
At the end of the day, we have lots to offer and we're a family. Develop your skills, join a new group of friends and family, go on trips, competitions and other activities as a group. If you're interested in that, Debate is for you. We look forward to seeing you.
