We are looking for one volunteer from each faculty to be the champion that brings students and the local community together. As part of the role, you will get involved in several initiatives, including:

  • Bringing the student voice to an action group of influential community organisations.
  • Supporting students to live as safely and sustainably as possible through gathering concerns, signposting, and giving advice.
  • Empowering positive relationships and associations between students and Coventry locals by getting involved in and helping to promote community projects and volunteer opportunities.

The role is fully supported and voluntary, on an ad-hoc basis. All hours will be flexible around your individual study commitments.

This opportunity gives you the chance to use existing skills to make a real difference. It will also help you develop new skills and knowledge in leadership, networking, and campaigning. As well as giving you opportunities to impress future employers through accessing Your Union’s accreditation schemes such as reward badges and leadership awards.
