Board 1
M.Juanroyee (Warwick) 0 - M.Singh (Coventry) 1
Opening: Sicilian defence, closed, traditional line
A strong and solid performance with few mistakes from our player, the game ended in a nice rook sacrifice resulting in a dovetail checkmate

Board 2
B.Read (Coventry) 1 - E.Pacuraru (Warwick) 0
Opening: Open Sicilian, Franco-Sicilian variation
A bishop blunder at the start put our player at a disadvantage at the start but with strong attacking play and constant pressure on the position it lead to a winning endgame for our player resulting in a resignation upon queen promotion

board 3

T.Ng (Warwick) 0 - R.Potu (Coventry) 1

Caro-Kann defence, Alekhine Gambit

a strong game from our player leading to a material advantage in the endgame resulting in checkmate. (Notation was incomplete)

board 4

A.Ferreira (Coventry) 1 - J.Diamond (Warwick) 0

Scotch game

a tactically dominant game from our player with a dubious f6 response from the opposing team out of the opening. The lead to being a rook up in the endgame and the opponent resigning a few moves after the pawn promotion

An amazing job by the team, we would also like to thank the warwick university team for some fun games
