The Summer Research Internship Scheme offers successful applicants with an opportunity to work across multi-disciplinary research areas over an 8-week programme during July and August 2022. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with supervisors and PhD candidates on sector leading research across our research institutes while immersing yourself in the research environment.
The Summer Research Internship Scheme offers successful applicants with an opportunity to work across multi-disciplinary research areas over an 8-week programme during July and August 2022. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with supervisors and PhD candidates on sector leading research across our research institutes while immersing yourself in the research environment.
This scheme aims to help you:
- develop research skills that will benefit your current course;
- gain invaluable experience while receiving a bursary;
- enhance your career prospects;
- gain exposure to real life research projects;
- expand your knowledge in your chosen field.
Accommodation and support
We will provide you with accommodation in our halls of residence in the centre of Coventry and on campus for the duration of the internship. In addition, you will receive a bursary of £150 per week.
Eligibility and how to apply
We welcome applications from a broad range of discipline areas from students locally, nationally and internationally, who are:
- in the penultimate year of undergraduate study at Coventry with and on track for a 2:1 class degree (or equivalent) with an average of at least 60% in their module/coursework marks (or equivalent); or
- registered on a masters course at Coventry at the time of the project.
Interns will work alongside an existing research team to support work they are delivering over the summer. We therefore expect individuals to commit to the full duration of the internship placement, to enable them to make a contribution in ensuring deliverables are completed. Applications close on 18th March.
