Biomedical Sciences Society

This month, Biomedical Sciences Society have ran a range of events that not only support academics but also relaxation and sustainability. A tour around the local UHCW biomedical labs introduced attendees to hospital labs and biomedical scientist career pathway. This trip, in conjunction with other society trips over the year, enhanced course learnings. Additionally, the society committee organised attending an online conference by the Francis Crick Institute, 'Interfacing the Human Brain', which covered different aspects of the brain and technologies being developed and used to aid people with various conditions to enable better communication and result in increased quality of life. Biomedical Sciences Society were part of the STEM society collaboration delivering the Women's Networking Event where they led on the fun STEM quiz, engaging over 45 students, included an engaging panel session with inspirational women speakers, and offered a great opportunity to network.
