About the event

Working in small groups, you’ll step into the shoes of fictional students trying to survive a term on a 'student' budget, making decisions about rent, food, nights out, part‑time work and those surprising “life happens” events along the way.

As the game progresses, you’ll discover how small choices add up, experiment with different strategies and feel the impact of shocks like unexpected bills or reduced part-time work shifts without risking your actual bank balance.

By the end of the session, you will have practical tools and simple habits for planning your own budget, understand how to make money compromises that work for you, and be able to build sustainable financial breathing space into your student life.
