What is Green week and why is it important?
Green Week is all about celebrating sustainability and showing how the little things we do every day can make a big difference to the planet. Working with the University estates team and wider services and teams, Green week brings a programme of activities and learning that you can participate in.
What's on for you?
- Hedgehog‑Friendly Campus Litter Pick
Tuesday 17.02.26, The Hub near Square One, Meet at 10:45am
Join the team working to make campus safer for hedgehogs and other wildlife. This friendly outdoor activity helps reduce litter, supports biodiversity, and contributes to the university’s Hedgehog Friendly Campus accreditation. All equipment will be provided—just bring enthusiasm and comfortable shoes!

Tuesday 17.02.26, The Hub, 11am-3pm
The fair will feature stalls, allow you to hear from student and staff leaders, and explore volunteering opportunities available, giving you the chance to explore how sustainability fits into your daily life and how you can get involved.

Unwind while getting creative with eco‑friendly crafts. This relaxed session is a great chance to repurpose materials, get inspiration, chat eco-crafting and have fun. Feel free to bring your own crafts to complete also.
