Outstanding individuals, societies and community groups came together this week to mark the first-ever Students’ Union Top 30 Most Influential Awards.
Hosted at our Square One venue on our Coventry campus, the new-look awards night celebrated the achievements of students who make a real difference to the student experience, going above and beyond to make an impact.
We received 228 nominations overall from multiple campuses before the awards panel selected our exclusive 30 Influential list, which saw them awarded with a certificate, trophy and commemorative display board. The criteria covered areas such as inclusivity, impact, and positive change.
There were also four winners announced on the night:
Rep of the Year - Dharmarajsinh Chauhan
SU Assistant of the Year - Pranav Uthayashankar
Society of the Year - Maths Society
Student Leader of the Year - Maristella Barbera
The evening included a three-course meal between the presentation of awards, which covered Reps, Societies, Student Leaders and SU Assistants.
There were also live performances from All-Music and Windband societies throughout, as well as a special guest appearance from Felix the mascot.
