Throughout the academic year, Accountability Panels give all students the chance to hear about progress, ask questions, and ensure your Officers are delivering on their promises. These panels are a key part of our democratic activities, helping ensure your representatives stay transparent and accountable to you.

When are the panels happening?

Full-Time Officers present to the panel three times a year – in October, November, and February. Part-Time Officers, who work around 10 hours per week, present twice a year – in November and February. Click the links below to get guarantee you place:

  • Coventry - 24th February (FTO at 11:00AM | PTO at 13:00PM), SquareOne, The Hub
  • CU London - 11th March at 13:00PM, CU Dagenham, A113
  • CU Scarborough - 17th March at 12:00PM, CU Scarborough, Boardroom 2.14

How does it work?

Two weeks before each panel, Officers submit a brief report outlining their progress to date. These reports are available online for all students to read.

You can then:

  • Submit questions online, or
  • Attend the panel in person to ask your questions directly.

This hybrid format means students from all campuses can get involved and have their say. After each panel, members meet to review progress using a **RAG rating system**:

🟥 Red – work not started or significantly behind target

🟧 Amber – work started but behind target

🟩 Green – work on target

The panel also provides recommendations and feedback, which are published in a report within five days of the event.

Who’s on the panel?

The panel is made up of student leaders, including:

  • Part-Time Officers (for Full-Time Officer panels)
  • Student Reps
  • Community Engagement Leads
  • Members of the Sports and Societies Executives

You can read the reports, book your space at upcoming panels, and find out more on the Accountability Panels webpage.

Your voice matters — come along and make sure your Officers are representing you!
