Students can access hot water for free from The Atrium Cafe during its opening hours. However, after the cafe closes at 4:00pm this provision is no longer available. Course Reps representing afternoon-timetabled students have reported to us that students in class in the afernoon would benefit from beig able to access hot water when they are on campus in the evening.

Following two meetings with Your Campus Officer, Emmanuella, the cafe providers Seasoned have agreed to provide hot water urns after they close, which will be freely accessible by students. This will enable students to make their own hot drinks and small meals like porridge or cuppa soups to keep you going throughout the whole day.

The urns will be clearly marked. They will be put out at 4pm every weekday starting from Monday 8th January. You'll need to bring your own cup!

Our thanks to the University Operations team and the Seasoned team for their support with this initiative, and to our hardworking Course Rep team who have made this happen for students.
