Your Students' Union has earned a number of accreditations for the work that is does for our member and staff. These acceditations help us to adopts, and be recognised, for effective practice in the sector.

Advice Quality Standard In November 2025, the Students’ Union Advice Service completed a rigorous assessment and audit and were awarded the Advice Quality Standard. The Advice Quality Standard is an established and widely respected quality mark for the advice sector in England and Wales. To obtain AQS status, Advice Services are assessed against a set of criteria that assesses the service’s quality of advice. Your Students’ Union Advice Service have been the awarded the Advice Quality Standard with Casework. Being a holder of the AQS, is reassurance that the Advice Service is following sector approved quality processes and procedures and provides trustees and members with assurance about the quality of the Advice Service offered. The Students’ Union Advice Service will hold the accreditation for 2 years, at which point, it will be reassessed for further accreditation. AQS Accreditation

Your Students' Union affiliates to a number of organisations that enables our members to engage in wider opportunities. These affiliations also support the services we offer our members. Students, as our members, also have a say on the affiliations that we have and are regularly consulted on any such affiliation.
