At our Welcome Fair, the best of Scarborough comes to you! Meet local businesses and charities to find out what they can offer you as a student, including potential employment or volunteering opportunities. We're asking visitors to make their stalls fun and interactive, and some may even be giving away goodies for free!
We're expecting stalls from a large variety of groups, business, and organisations, including:
- Everyone Active and Scarborough Sports Village
- Mental health organisations like Samaritans and Mind
- Support services and volunteering opportunities like Citizens Advice, Carers Plus, and IDAS
- University services including Welfare and the Talent Team
- Local entertainment businesses including Go Ape, North Yorkshire Water Park, Scarborough Escape Room and more
- Recruiters for part-time and graduate jobs
- Community groups like Scarborough Athletic Football Club, Scarborough Canoe Club, and Scarborough Pride
The Fair is a great opportunity to find out more about Scarborough and what the area has to offer - whether you've just moved here or lived here all your life. The Fair will be taking place across the day, so don't worry about not having a chance to visit around your timetabled classes!
Accessibility
This event is expected to be fairly busy, particularly at peak times such as over lunch. There is a quite contemplation and prayer room for use on site.
