Join Coventry University Archery Club for our first indoor taster session of the year at Blue Coat School.
The session is open to complete beginners as well as anyone with previous archery experience. No previous experience is required and all bows, arrows, targets and protective equipment will be provided by the club.
We’ll start with a short safety briefing and introduction to the range before taking you through the basics of shooting, including stance, grip, drawing the bow, aiming and release. You’ll then have plenty of time to shoot under supervision, with committee members available throughout the session to help with technique and answer any questions.
The taster is also a chance to meet the committee and other members, see our new indoor training venue and find out more about the club. We’ll explain how our regular weekly training sessions work, membership for the year, equipment access, and opportunities to take part in university competitions including TOUCAN and BUCS.
Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely and suitable indoor footwear. Long hair should be tied back and loose jewellery should be removed where possible.
Whether you are trying archery for the first time, returning after a break, or already have experience and want somewhere to train, you are welcome to come along.
