About the event

This practical workhop is to help you prepare for attending the Volunteering Fair so you feel confident and able to be yourself. You’ll learn how to start conversations (even if you “hate networking”), have a list of questions to ask, and learn how to quickly assess which opportunities are a good fit for your skills, values and availability.

Through light-touch role plays and planning, you’ll create a short introduction, practise chatting with stallholders, and figure out how to follow up afterwards without feeling awkward so that you make a positive impression, turning informal chats into exciting opportunities.
