SISTERS’ CULTURE DAY POTLUCK – Around the World for Charity! 🌸🌍
Hey Sisters! 💗
Coventry University Islamic Society (CovISOC), in collaboration with One Ummah, is excited to invite you to our Sisters’ Culture Day Potluck, a special evening celebrating the beautiful diversity of cultures within our sisterhood, while coming together for a meaningful charitable cause!
✨ Come dressed in your country's traditional clothing, proudly represent your heritage, and bring a taste of your culture to share with your fellow sisters!
Whether it's a traditional dish passed down through generations, your favourite homemade meal, or a cultural delicacy you'd love others to try, we encourage everyone to bring something along and experience flavours from around the world! 🍲🥘
This event is all about embracing our different backgrounds, learning about one another's cultures, strengthening the bonds of sisterhood and celebrating the beauty of diversity within our Muslim community.

🍽️ Food: Halal dishes only

🌍 Celebrate Your Culture – Wear your traditional attire and proudly showcase your cultural heritage!
🥘 Around the World Potluck – Bring a homemade dish, snack or dessert from your culture to share with other sisters.
💕 Sisterhood & Connection – Meet new sisters, make friends and enjoy an evening filled with laughter, conversations and community.
🇵🇸 Giving Back for Charity – This event forms part of CovISOC's Charity Week, raising funds in collaboration with One Ummah to support those in need.
💗 A Few Friendly Reminders
Sisters are encouraged to wear their country's traditional clothing, although this is not compulsory.
We would love for everyone to contribute a dish, snack or dessert if they are able to! Bringing food is encouraged but not a requirement to attend.
All dishes must be halal and must not contain alcohol or pork-derived ingredients.
Please provide a list of ingredients or clearly identify any allergens in the food you bring, so everyone can enjoy the evening safely.
Please ensure you book your ticket through the Students' Union website before attending.
Every ticket purchased contributes towards our charity fundraising efforts, so your participation helps make a difference! 💕
