External Organisations

External organisations are organisations not affiliated to the Students’ Union. They are often National bodies that societies would like to affiliate to alongside the Students’ Union. The SU, the External organisation and the Society all have expectations on what a working relationship looks like between them.

How do you register an External organisation?

  1. Download the External Organisation Contract at the bottom of this page.
  2. Fill it in to the best of your ability between the society and the organisation. Consider what expectations you have of the External organisation and what they may have of you as the student group.
  3. Sign from both parties and submit via email to societies.su@coventry.ac.uk where your coordinator and management will review the agreement.
  4. If approved, you will receive a signed PDF copy of the agreement. If not approved, it will be referred to you with comments.
  5. If approved the affiliation will be added to your constitution, you will be sent an updated copy of your constitution showing the affiliation.
