What are the Merchandise options?
It’s up to you what you get for your society. You could go traditional and get a hoodie, Clothing, Hats etc which applies to everything,; or get creative and design some merchandise specific to your society: Get mini mascot dinosaurs for Maths Society, Car vinyl’s for Automotive society, Aprons for cooking society, custom tote bags Think what is useful and specific to people interested in your society.
What’s the process?
- Make sure to get a design and quote made up for you
- Share the design with societies.su@coventry.ac.uk for approval
- Once you’ve got approval to use the design, agree a timeline with the supplier and request they raise an invoice addressed to:

- Raise a Student Group finance request to pay a third party by purchase order (PO) for the amount specified on the invoice
- Our staff team will raise a PO for that amount, if the supplier is a new supplier, we will request they complete our new supplier form to add them to our finance system, this can add a few days to the process.
- Once the PO has been approved finance will ensure the supplier is paid in the next payment run, suppliers will receive a remittance notification on that day to show the invoice has been paid.
Do’s and don’ts
Do:
- Put your society logo on assets
- Be creative in your merch designs
- Source reputable suppliers who preferably are local, eco and budget friendly to your budgets
- Consider what log’s you’d like to have (any sponsors etc. We don’t expect you to put the SU logo on things but if you want to let us know and we can check our logo placements)
- Consider financial security e.g. you should pre-sale 50% before ordering the bulk amount
Don't:
- Order without showing us the design
- Sell items outside of your SU webpage
- Use Logo’s University, SU or external without permission
- Order directly from a committee members bank account (unless we’ve arranged a payment process with you)
