These elections are to determine the next society committee for the academic year 2026-2027. Leading a society can help you gain core transferable skills and make you more employable. You'll also be able to host and participate in different activities and enhance student experience. This is a great way to make new friends, and you are responsible for your time commitment and can determine what time you'd like to dedicate the society.

The Physiotherapy Society organises different types of events through the year, such as socials, guest speaker events, sports massage and sport taping qualifications, and career preparation. Socials in previous years have included bar crawls, Christmas parties, Halloween parties, and themed nights out. We want to include more variety this year and organise things like paintball, mini golf, and ice skating. For our guest speaker events, we invite someone to come to the university to talk to us about something related to physiotherapy. For example, we have had a sports physio come to speak to us and a speaker event on dementia. Also, every year we try to run a sport massage and sports taping course that can help you in the future on your CV or if you set up your own business. Other events we are thinking about are a physio ball, a guest speaker for interview preparation, and a mock trial in order to prepare people as best as possible for going into the proffesion.
