Ramadan Mubarak to everyone observing Ramadan.

As your Education Officer and Student Governor, I want to make sure everyone fasting feels supported on campus during this special month.

While it is a deeply spiritual time, it can also be physically demanding - especially when balancing studies, work, and university life. That’s why it’s important that we, as a Students’ Union, create an environment that is understanding, inclusive, and supportive.

Opening Your Fast (Iftar) on Campus

If you’re on campus at sunset, you’re welcome to open your fast at the Faith Centre.

Location: Spirituality & Faith Centre - 3rd floor, The Hub. (You can access the Faith Centre outside opposite Richard Crossman building).
Dates & water bottles will be available.
Open to both students and staff

Please bring your student ID to access.

Daily Tarawih

Tarawih prayers will take place every evening at 7:30pm at the Spirituality & Faith Centre.

Please visit the Faith Centre to confirm timings as they are subject to change each day.

Islamic Society Iftars

The Islamic Society will also be hosting iftars throughout the month.

To stay updated, join the Islamic Society here and then contact Muhammad (President of Islamic Society) via email at: Hagom@coventry.ac.uk

Creating an Inclusive Campus

If you’re not observing Ramadan but would like to support your friends or classmates, small gestures go a long way - whether that’s being mindful of group meetings around sunset, understanding lower energy levels during the day, or simply wishing someone “Ramadan Mubarak.”

Ramadan is not just about fasting; it’s about compassion, patience, generosity, and unity. I’m proud that our campus continues to be a place where different faiths and cultures are respected and celebrated.

If you have any concerns, need adjustments, or would like to share feedback, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

Wishing you all a peaceful and blessed Ramadan.

Ramadan Mubarak.
