Accountability Panel 2 Updates

Throughout the academic year, Accountability Panels give all students the chance to hear what progress has been made, ask questions, and ensure your Officers are delivering on their promises. These panels are a key part of our democratic activity, helping to keep your representatives transparent and accountable to you.

Status ratings used by the panel:
🟥 Red – Work not started or significantly behind target
🟧 Amber – Work started but behind target
🟩 Green – Work on target

Full-Time Officers

The second Accountability Panel for Full-Time Officers took place on Wednesday 12th November in Square One, Coventry.
After reviewing each Officer’s manifesto progress, the panel awarded the following ratings:

  • Activities Officer, Layna Forbes: 🟩 Green
  • Education Officer, Abdullah Sayyed: 🟩 Green
  • Sports Officer, Prince Otu: 🟧 Amber
  • Welfare Officer, Promise Owai: 🟧 Amber

Part-Time Officers

The first trial Accountability Panels for Part-Time Officers took place on:

  • Coventry: Wednesday 12th November
  • London: Wednesday 12th November
  • Scarborough: Tuesday 18th November

Following a review of manifesto progress, the panel awarded the following ratings:

  • College of the Arts and Societies Officer, Akansha Dhamija: 🟩 Green
  • College of Business and Law Officer, Mohammed Amaan: 🟧 Amber
  • College of Engineering, Environment, and Sciences Officer, Victory Ebere: 🟩 Green
  • School of Health and Care Officer, Chorouk Goudez: 🟩 Green
  • CU Coventry Officer, Munirah Rasaq: 🟩 Green
  • CU Scarborough Officer, Annabelle Taylor: 🟧 Amber
  • CU London Officer, Raghav Sharma: 🟧 Amber
  • Coventry University London Campus Officer, Sumanth Vykuntapu: 🟧 Amber
  • Postgraduate Research Officer, Wenlin Xiong: 🟧 Amber

Next Steps

Officers who received an Amber rating will be expected to demonstrate clear progress at the next set of panels, including actions taken in response to the panel’s recommendations.

The next Accountability Panels will take place in February 2026.
