Come along to our online BSL Club Taster Session! It’s a fun, informal way to start learning how to communicate using signs, gestures, and body language —while gaining insight into Deaf culture and meeting new people.

About the event

Join us for an online BSL Club Taster Session—a relaxed, welcoming space where you’ll get a hands-on introduction to British Sign Language. Whether you’ve never signed before or just want to brush up your skills, this is the perfect place to start!

In this 30-minute session you will learn some basic signs that will help you greet a BSL user, whilst explore Deaf awareness and culture. It's all about learning in a fun, social environment—no pressure, no prior experience needed.

This taster session is open to all students, at any of the campuses, but you must have a device capable of joining a Teams call with a working camera, so our tutors Ruth or Marian can communicate with you.
