About the event

Get ready for the third ever Live @ Square One – Your SU Comedy Club, as we round off the year with another stellar night of stand-up! Every month we bring the best of UK comedy to campus — mixing fresh faces, festival favourites, and rising stars from across the national circuit.

This December’s line-up is stacked with incredible talent:

Adam Beardsmore – Hailing from the West Midlands, Adam has been a BBC New Comedy Award nominee and featured on BBC Radio 4 Extra. Known for his quick wit and local charm, Adam brings a hilarious blend of storytelling and sharp punchlines.
Oliver Bowler – A rising voice in UK comedy, Oliver has built a reputation for his smart, observational sets and warm, engaging stage presence. Expect clever takes and relatable laughs.
Erika Ehler – Fearless, funny, and unapologetically bold, Erika mixes personal storytelling with punchy humour. A growing name on the festival circuit, she’s a comic whose energy and originality light up the stage.
Rob Rouse – A familiar face from TV and radio, Rob has appeared on shows like 8 Out of 10 Cats, The Friday Night Project, and Upstart Crow. With his high-energy performances and brilliantly silly outlook on life, Rob is guaranteed to have the crowd in stitches.

Expect a night packed with sharp observations, outrageous stories, and unstoppable laughter — the perfect way to wrap up the year at Square One.

🍻 Square One bar is open from 4:30 pm and will remain open until the end of the final interval.
