About the event

What is the event?

The Coventry Design Society, in collaboration with Activities Officer Layna Forbes and the Students’ Union, is hosting a Design Student Showcase. A relaxed event celebrating creativity and community.

This showcase is open to everyone and offers design students the opportunity to display their work in a supportive and social environment. It also provides a chance for students to practice exhibiting ahead of their official end-of-year show. The event will feature performances from our talented friends in the Acoustic Music Society, creating a relaxed atmosphere. Additionally, games, crafts, and light refreshments will be available, including soft drinks and access to the SQ1 bar.

It’s an enjoyable and informal space for students to relax, connect, and celebrate the diverse and creative talents on campus. Come explore design displays, enjoy live music, play games, get crafty, and snack while you socialise.

Who is invited?

This event is open to all students, regardless of course or year group. Whether you’re a design student showcasing your work or simply want to enjoy the creative atmosphere, everyone is welcome to attend. Please bring your student ID card to check in at the venue upon arrival.

Square One is located inside The Hub at Coventry University. The venue is wheelchair accessible, with accessible toilets available within the building.

This is a drop-in event, meaning you are welcome to attend at any point between 1:00pm and 5:00pm and stay for as long as you wish. Whether you’d like to explore the displays briefly or spend the afternoon enjoying the atmosphere, you’re free to engage in a way that suits you.
