Find out how you can nominate yourself for the College of Arts and Society OR CU London Officer role!
Elections are run each year by Students’ Unions (SUs) across the country. They are the process by which new student representatives are elected to help lead the organisation and its activities.
Our current Part-Time Officers (PTOs) for the College of Arts and Society and CU London have resigned, and we will therefore have vacancies available. Students studying within the College of Arts and Society OR at CU London are eligible to nominate themselves for this role.
The newly elected PTO will start in their role from 11th January 2027 and will finish on 31st May 2027.
What is a PTO?
A Part-Time Officer is an individual who is elected by fellow students to represent their peers. Being a PTO is a paid position (£12.71 plus £1.53 holiday pay), with individuals being asked to work with the SU for up to 10 hours per week for a period of 10 weeks per semester in their role.
To find out more about the role and any specific duties you must undertake, please read the full role description for CAS here and for CU London here.
Training for the role will be provided by the Students’ Union once the successful applicant is appointed. Training is expected to take place the week commencing 11th January 2027.
