This time of year, we know there can be a lot to stress about. The internet is full of useful tips and tricks on how to look after your wellbeing. However, as the seasons change and assignments and assessments crowd in, it can be all too easy to lose focus on that all-important work-life balance and find yourself not knowing where to start. Your SU Advice and Wellbeing service have teamed up with our friends at Mind and Coventry and Warwickshire Talking Therapies to help, by bringing tailored mental health and stress management sessions straight to you.
Unwind With MIND
This year, mental health charity Mind are coming onto main campus to host a monthly wellbeing crafting session, and to tell you all about the different ways they can help with stress, anxiety, and low mood. You will find them in the SU Welcome Area on the first floor of The Hub, on Tuesday 27th October and Tuesday 17th November, between 10:00-12:30. This is the perfect opportunity for Coventry-based students to:
- Access a safe space to ask any questions you may have about Mind and their services, with a confidential space for private chats if needed.
- Use a designated time to take an all-important break from the books and unwind with a casual crafting activity—all creative abilities welcome!
Online Mental Health Workshop with Talking Therapies
On the 19th of November, the team at Talking Therapies are hosting an online session for all campuses around how therapy can help with feelings of stress and low mood. This is a great opportunity to:
- Explore if therapy would be a good fit for you, without having to attend your own session.
- Find out more about Talking Therapies' specialist mental health service for help now or in the future.
- Improve your knowledge to help with your own professional development; all attendees will receive an SU digital badge. The perfect pairing of helping yourself and being productive with it.
