It is time to apply for SFE funding for the 26/27 academic year. Learn more about how to re-apply and find the links to do so.
It is that time of year again, time to apply for your Student Finance England (SFE) funding!
Applications for the 26/27 academic year, starting in September, are open. Applications can take six to eight weeks to be processed, so the sooner you apply, the better. This will help to avoid any delays before the new term starts. Even if your place on your program has not been confirmed, you can still apply. The details of your course can always be updated before your course starts.
It is important to note that funding from SFE is only for students who are considered home students. International students cannot apply for SFE.
To apply, follow this link here and log in to your SFE portal Login to Student Finance England. You can apply online for both a tuition fee loan and a maintenance loan. Once you have applied, you can track your progress easily through the portal.
If you have questions about SFE, your application, or want to know if you are eligible, check out the GOV.UK website for more information: Starting uni or college in 2026 or 2027 - Student Finance England.
