The SU Awards are returning for 2023 in April!
The SU wide awards evening is one of the most prestigious events in Your Students’ Union’s calendar, celebrating all the fantastic accomplishments of students across the group. Ten awards will be presented on the night, and you can nominate yourself or a peer to be considered for one!
Nominations are open from Friday 17 March and close Wednesday 29 March. Winning an award, or even being shortlisted, are both great ways to gain recognition for all your hard work. You can showcase these achievements to future employers.
Students who are successfully shortlisted for the awards will be invited to attend the evening, which will be full of presentations, food and performances!

How do I nominate?
Nominations open on Friday 17 March, and you can submit your nomination via our online forms. The form asks you to identify the person, group or project and why you think they should be recognised with this award.
If you are a student, you can nominate yourself or a fellow peer for any of the awards, and can do so for as many award categories as you like.
If you are a member of staff, you can also nominate a student you may have worked with who you think would be an ideal candidate for the SU Awards.
Once you have nominated it will be shared with our carefully selected panels who will shortlist a handful of successful students for each award. If you are successfully shortlisted, you will receive an email invite from Your Students’ Union welcoming you to the Awards Evening on Friday 21 April.
So what next?
Now you know about the awards, the categories available and how to nominate, it’s time to start thinking about whether you or someone you know could be a great candidate for one of them.
