Being a committee member puts you in a position of authority when leading events and taking responsibility for member and attendee welfare. It’s important you know and understand what to do in an emergency and how to support your members and fellow committee members.

What to do in an Emergency

In case of an emergency on campus, call the Protection Service emergency line on 024 7765 5555. They will direct the emergency services to you.

If there is an incident on campus that is not an emergency, you can call the Protection Services control room on 024 7765 7363.

In case of an emergency off campus, call the emergency services (999) or 111 if it is not an emergency.

Once the incident has been attended to, please email societies.su@coventry.ac.uk to notify us of this so we can complete an incident report, You may be asked to contribute to the report if necessary.

SafeZone App

We recommend you use SafeZone to keep you safe around campus or in university buildings. The app connects directly with the protection services staff to help you. You can call for assistance with just one tap, and the app is completely free!
