As a new academic year approaches, four new full-time officers, as voted for by students, start their roles – aiming to make your experience at Coventry University better.

For the first time, students have been elected from campuses away from Coventry, with three of the four full-time officers being students from London.

This is who is representing you for the next academic year…

Raghav Sharma – Activities Officer

Raghav already has experience as an SU officer, serving as a part-time officer at CU London last academic year. With this experience and being from London, Raghav is very passionate about making sure students at Scarborough and London feel included, engaged and part of something bigger.

Pooja Macha – Education Officer

The single officer voted in that is based in Coventry, Pooja describes herself as enthusiastic and passionate about helping others, while expressing a joy about working with people from diverse backgrounds. She is committed to working closely with staff to improve the learning experience.

Biplab Khadka – Sports Officer

A Business Management and Leadership student at CU London, Biplab is a dedicated athlete who partakes in karate. He knows how much sport brings people together and is committed to making sport more accessible, inclusive and enjoyable for all.

Ramkrishna Adhikari – Welfare Officer

Ramkrishna is studying Law and Practice in London. His chosen subject and experience as a Youth Coordinator and Inclusion Officer have helped develop a strong passion for human rights, equity and student representation. He is committed to collaboration, representing student voice and making university experience rewarding.

Each officer has five manifesto points that they will aim to achieve throughout the year.

To assess their progress, they will face Accountability Panels three times during the year.

Raghav, Pooja, Biplab and Ram are all approachable and welcome your conversations and suggestions to make life at university better.
