Your SU Skills Team work with Phoenix+ to create an offer to enhance your skills and make you more employable. The Phoenix+ offer is exclusive to Coventry University and brings students like yourselves together to learn, gain new skills/knowledge and experiences to help you succeed in whatever you choose to do next after your University life. This opportunity is free to engage with and is open to all students and is a great addition for you CV or LinkedIn. 

Before you start your Phoenix+ journey, you can do a skills assessment to help you understand where your strengths and weaknesses are and recommend sessions you should attend to help you develop yourself into the perfect candidate for your dream role. 

Phoenix+ is made up of 3 elements: Know it, Experience it and Live it!

Know it - These sessions are created to build your knowledge, as well as bite-sized content in the form of workshops, events or on-demand sessions online. Examples of these are understanding the volunteering sector, how to communicate effectively online and managing your finances. 

Experience it - This is a chance for you to develop your skills through a hands-on experience which you can display on your CV and earn a digital badge for. An example of this is a volunteering taster day where you can volunteer as a one-off and develop key skills like communication and teamwork. As well, we offer British Sign Language, where you can learn, develop and practice signing skills, which is now classed as its own language. 

Live it - This is a chance for you to look back on what you have learnt and get tailored support ready for your next steps.
