About the event

Are you a member of a sports club or society committee? This detailed training on sexual consent and consent culture is an important part of your development as a student leader. By the end of this session you should… 

  • Understand the importance of consent, including what it is and isn’t. 
  • Understand the meaning of sexual assault and harassment as consequences of not respecting the UK definitions of sexual consent.
  • Be able to identify common myths around sexual harassment, assault and consent and understand their impact. 
  • Have an awareness of the support available for victims/survivors. 
  • Feel more confident in supporting students with matters around consent within the remit of your role as student leader.  
  • Have identified some clear and realistic ideas on how you can create a positive culture of consent within your student group.
