Hello all. Below I have put the main pledges that I will complete in this upcoming term in office. However, please bear in mind that this is not a definitive list and if further issues arise during the year, then these will be addressed, and the appropriate actions will be taken. 

1. Cost of Living Support - This is an issue that is affecting everyone across the country and is having an impact on students and unfortunately it is likely to continue for some time to come.  I will ensure that you are given the best support available through these hard financial times and that your studies and university experience is unaffected. 

2. Your Welfare Support - Being a student at university isn’t always straightforward and it is inevitable that you will need welfare support for your own wellbeing. I will ensure that all students are supported especially when experiencing difficulties  

3. Showcase Events - Your university campus should be a vibrant space for you to enjoy. I will develop regular showcase events, that give that feel-good factor to your Scarborough campus. 

4. Clear Communication - It is vital that your views and thoughts are presented to the management of the university and that your experience is the best it can be. I will ensure that your feedback and your views are provided at boards and meetings with management, ensuring that they take action to improve your experience if needed. 

5. Societies - Since July 2022, new societies have been created and existing societies have thrived. I want to continue this work, to ensure the long-term sustainability of societies by promoting them and bringing them to the fore.

6 Social Events - University isn’t just about your studies, it’s about having fun as well. I want to ensure that social activities are provided, both on and off campus, at a time that suits you and your lifestyle, allowing you to socialize with others across various courses and departments.
