I want to run for this position as I'm currently a student representative for my course, and in this time I've managed to work with the student union and change some of the problems we have experienced, and id love to be able to help do that for the rest of the university to help make everyone feel heard and valued. In the time I've spent around the university I've heard from people passing about some issues they wish to fix but either don't have a student rep or are to shy to speak out and I want to be the voice for everyone that believes something should be changed. If I'm elected id try my best to get each tutor to speak with their classes and make a list of things that as a collective they think should be changed, Once I have the list from each course on campus id compose a more focused list seeing which areas of the University needs the most attention and working down until I've seen every idea and brought it forward making sure that no suggestion is overlooked and make everyone heard.
