Hi there! I'm Mahbub Shuhag, your current campus officer. I've got a strong record of advocating for students at every level, both on and off campus over the last two consecutive years. My motto is all about empowering students and making a positive impact wherever I go.

On top of that, I am also an advisor at Students Mind, where I get to play a key role in helping to shape strategic decisions and policies. I'm passionate about promoting inclusivity, supporting students in need, and empowering all students to achieve their goals.

As your Coventry University London Campus Officer, I pledge to:

• Implement Reasonable Tuition Fees Installment Plan and Amplify Student Representation: I will work closely with the university administration. to establish a flexible tuition fees installment plan that will allow students to pay their tuition fees in a more manageable way. This will help reduce financial stress and allow students to focus on their studies and mental health. I will also advocate for financial support for students who face financial hardship and require additional assistance to complete their education. Increase transparency and accountability in student government, provide training and support for representatives, and ensure strong student involvement in university-wide decisions.

• Building a Stronger Campus Community Through Student and Alumni Engagement: Foster a strong sense of community on campus by hosting inclusive events, promoting student societies and clubs, and providing opportunities for students to connect with one another. I will also establish an active alumni association, hosting events that connect alumni and current students and provide mentorship opportunities. By strengthening alumni connections and encouraging their involvement, we can build a stronger and more supportive campus community.

• Enhance Campus Amenities and Career Opportunities: I will work to modernize and upgrade our classrooms, computer labs, and library resources to create a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing learning environment. I will also increase the availability of study spaces to ensure that every student has a comfortable place to study. On top of that, will work with the University to Offer more opportunities for students to gain practical experience and build their professional networks, such as internships, and co-op programs, by hosting more career fairs.
