Whether you're a new starter or a CU Scarborough old hand, we're marking the start of Block 5 with events and activities for all.

Campus can be a bit quieter over the summer blocks, but that dosen't mean Your Students' Union stops working! As always we have a selection of welcome events to mark the beginning of Block 5, helping you settle in (or back in) to studying and giving you the chance to meet and mingle with your fellow students. Read on to find out what we have planned!

All events will take place in the ground floor seating area. All activities are completely free and no tickets are required to join in. 

Monday 15th May

Brew Monday (morning session) 
10:30am - 11:30am 

Brew Monday (afternoon session)
1:30pm - 2:30pm

Our popular 'Brew Monday' pop-up cafe offers free hot drinks to students and an opportunity to meet and chat with SU staff and officers. We'll also be marking the start of Mental Health Awareness Week!

Tuesday 16th May

Game Library
11:00am - 1:00pm

New for Block 5, stop by our Game Library to borrow from our varied selection of board and card games to play. Games on offer include Cards Against Humanity, Exploding Kittens, Ransom Notes, chess, and more!

Get it Sorted – Your Advice Service Drop-In
1:00pm - 3:00pm

Sarah Carr, Your Student Advice Caseworker, will be running a drop-in so you can seek support and advice on queries relating to student finance, accommodation, childcare, and anything else affecting your studies at university. 

Wednesday 17th May

International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia
10:30am - 2:00pm

We will be running an information and awareness stall to mark this important date, as well as giving away free pronoun badges.

Thursday 18th May

Get it Sorted – Your Advice Service Drop-In
10:00am - 12:00pm

Another opportunity to spaek to Sarah Carr, Your Student Advice Caseworker. She will be running a drop-in so you can seek support and advice on queries relating to student finance, accommodation, childcare, and anything else affecting your studies at university.

Friday 19th May

Freebie Friday
11:00am - 1:00pm

We'll be welcoming in the weekend by giving away surprise freebies! Stop by the stall to pick up a mystery treat from us.
