Taekwondo participated to the BUCS Winter Taekwondo Championships this Sunday (the 20th of February) and returned with 2 bronze medals and a silver one. The results were amazing, the lessons learnt, and the team is motivated to keep growing and competing further.
The Taekwondo team has participated this weekend to the BUCS Winter Championships, an event held in Nottingham, where 484 individual registrations were made by 37 universities from all across the UK.
Our team had the chance to fight outstanding participants, but we also managed to have remarkable wins. We won 8 matches, lost 8, came back with two bronze medals and one silver medal, but also with lots of bruises and lessons learnt. We are equally proud of those members who did not qualify to the semi finals and finals. Their ambition and power to finish the matches despite injuries or other obstacles is as remarkable as the formal wins.
We are extremely thankful for all the support we received so far from Sports Coventry, and we can’t wait to participate to the BUCS Spring Taekwondo Championships, our biggest (and final) event of this year.
